The United Way of Knox County will host the Great Bowls of Fire Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, November 2, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Patrick Henry Square in Downtown Vincennes. The event will feature 20 teams of celebrity chefs competing to raise funds and support for the United Way through their chili recipes.
Teams can be viewed and supported online by texting “Chili” to 30306 or visiting the event’s donation page. Online donations will continue until the event. At the cook-off, attendees can sample all 20 chilis and vote for their favorite, with a $5 entry fee determining the Taster’s Choice winner.
The event will include live music from local bands Big D, Faith & Treason, Jared and Luke, and Just One More. For children, the Lincoln Trail Mobile Farm will be available. A beer garden, hosted by Vincennes Brewing Company, and Fosters Frosters will be present to help cool off after sampling the spicy dishes.
All proceeds will go to benefit the United Way of Knox County.
