WIN Energy REMC has awarded $13,792.07 in grants to several local organizations through its Operation Round Up Program. The initiative, which encourages members to round up their electric bills to the nearest dollar, provides support to community projects.

Among the recipients, the Arthur Foundation, Inc. received $2,350 to purchase equipment for property maintenance, while the Owensville Ministerial Alliance was granted $3,500 to provide meals for families in need. The Petersburg Police Department was awarded $5,654.93 for officer safety equipment, and Sullivan County Park and Lake received $2,287.14 to upgrade its lighting to LED.

Since the program began in 2013, over $727,000 has been distributed through 235 grants, demonstrating how small contributions can make a big impact in the community.
