The candidates for 8th District Congress have been invited to a forum to be held in Evansville.

The League of Women Voters of Southwest Indiana will host the forum on October 3. It will be at the McCollough Library in Evansville. The event runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m.

Candidates invited are  Democrat Eric Hurt, Republican Mark Messmer, and Libertarian K. Richard Fitzlaff.

Each will be given an opportunity to introduce themselves before answering questions compiled by the League, along with additional questions from the audience.

The forum is open to the public.
