Vincennes University will host Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) for their quarterly meeting this Thursday, September 19.
The event, open to the public and media, will take place from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Eastern in the Innovation Room at the Shake Learning Resource Center.
The IEDC, chaired by Governor Holcomb, is led by Indiana Secretary of Commerce David Rosenburg. Its 15-member board oversees statewide economic development efforts. Knox County Economic Development CEO Chris Pfaff, a former IEDC employee, explained that the meeting will include executive and public sessions. The public portion will focus on business development projects involving state incentives to attract or expand companies in Indiana.
Pfaff noted the significance of the meeting, as it will be Governor Holcomb’s final IEDC board meeting during his term. “It’s special that his last board meeting as governor will be here in Knox County, where he spent a lot of time growing up,” he said.
The meeting offers a unique opportunity for the public to hear about Indiana’s economic growth efforts firsthand.
