This Saturday, the Vincennes Historic Half Marathon will take runners through Indiana’s first city, passing iconic landmarks along the way. The event begins at Patrick Henry Square, with the 5K and Half Marathon starting at 8:00 AM, followed by a free Kids Fun Run at 11:00 AM. Registration is available online at vincenneshalf.com.
Hosted by the Rotary Young Leaders, the marathon raises funds for community projects. This year’s proceeds will go toward replacing the basketball court at Lester Square Park, with plans to install two full-sized courts. Spokesperson Alli Bobe expressed excitement for the project, hoping it will be completed by the end of fall.
After the race, participants can visit the historic farmers market until 1:00 PM and enjoy the First City Vintage Festival, starting at 3:00 PM at the Riverfront Pavilion.
