A late August tradition continued Wednesday with the crowning of Miss Bicknell.
Malli Lyons took home the crown, as well as Miss Photogenic honors.
Her court consisted of:
- First Runner Up: Iva Summers
- Second Runner Up: Brynna Collins
- Miss Congeniality: Kenzie Davis
Miss Bicknell serves as the precursor to the Bicknell Heritage Days, taking place over Labor Day Weekend.
Bicknell Mayor Thomas Estabrook invites everyone to join the festivities this weekend. “Labor Day is always a showcase for Bicknell.” Estabrook said. “It’s a weekend where we come together to celebrate our community. There’s a lot of excitement this year, with some events returning and new ones being introduced. The weather looks promising, so we’re hopeful for a great weekend. We’ll cap it all off with a parade on Monday, which I believe will be a great experience for everyone.”
Other honors bestowed Wednesday night included:
- 2024 Mini Queen: Laeklynn Carroll
- Mini King: Karsyn Shick
Additionally, the annual Man and Woman of the Year Awards were presented:
- Bicknell Man of the Year: Junior Mullins (50th recipient)
- Bicknell Woman of the Year: Margaret Ellis Hart (49th recipient)
