Much to the disappointment of many, the Vincennes Steak ‘n Shake closed down recently.

But what once was home to steak burgers, will become a new place for chicken wings, chicken fingers, sandwiches and salads.

Officials have confirmed to First City News that a Zaxbys will be locating in the Steak n’  Shake location at 1277 South Hart Street.

Zaxbys, an American casual restaurant chain, is concentrated primarily in the Midwestern United States with locations also in the South, Mid-Atlantic, Western United States, Europe, and the Middle East.

Brand Marketing Director, Kasey Ryan says construction is slated to begin at the end of this year with a planned opening in 2025.

Zaxbys was founded in 1990. Their headquarters are in Atlanta, Georgia.

There are  locations in Jasper and Evansville.
