Tickets are still available for the highly anticipated 3rd annual Dancing with the Vincennes Stars event, a charity fundraiser benefiting the Wabash Valley Friendship Clubhouse in Vincennes. The clubhouse provides a supportive environment for individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses, helping them connect with others who share similar experiences.
Spokesperson Cher Wehrman expressed gratitude for the community’s strong support over the past few years and encourages both returning and new attendees to join this year’s event. “This is just like what you see on TV,” Wehrman said. “We have six competitors, each dancing two routines lasting about 90 seconds to two minutes. The audience votes for their favorite dancer after round one, and we crown the champion based on the total votes after round two.”
Tickets are priced at $75 and include a social hour, a full catered meal with dessert, a seat to watch the competition, and dancing after the champion is crowned. Doors open at 6 PM at Highland Woods Community Center on Saturday night. Tickets can be purchased online at vincennesdancingstars.com.
This year’s local celebrity competitors are:
- Tyler Simmons – local real estate broker
- Keri Lane – Pantheon Business and Innovation Theatre
- John and Kasey Yochum – Heaps of Jeeps
- Judy and Ryan Culp – Willows Family Health Center
- Nicole Coomer – Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation
- Breanne and Ryan Clark – Principal at Clark Middle School and teacher at Vigo Elementary
