You have your pick of summer festivals to attend this weekend. Spend all day at your favorite or make time to hit them all. Longtime yearly events are happening in Knox, Daviess, and Dubois Counties.
The Knox County Chamber of Commerce is holding their 2024 Watermelon Festival today and Saturday at Patrick Henry Square in Vincennes, Indiana. The festival features live music, food and craft vendors, a Kids Fun Zone, a 5K Run & Walk, pageants, and a watermelon-eating contest. Enjoy diverse food options, unique crafts, and watermelon-themed activities.
In Daviess County, the 139th Annual Odon Old Settlers Festival runs through Saturday at Odon City Park. Highlights include exhibits, a parade, live music, a car show, and traditional festivities celebrating the pioneer spirit.
In Dubois County, the Jasper Strassenfest returns for its 46th year. It continues through to Sunday around the downtown courthouse square. The German-inspired festival includes live entertainment, polka music, carnival rides, traditional German food, and a grand parade on Sunday.
