A severe thunderstorm caused some havoc in Vincennes today.

A strong storm packing over 60-mile-an-hour winds moved through the area around in the 11AM hour causing downed trees, power lines, and power outages.

A tree fell on a home on Ritterskamp Avenue. Another went down on the Vincennes University Campus striking the Beckes Student Union.

Crews also responded to live wires down in various parts of town.

Around 200 WIN Energy REMC customers in several counties were without electricity at one point as a result of the winds.

We received no reports of injuries from the late morning storm.
