A Sheriff’s Deputy Deputy died in a motorcycle crash over the weekend.
The crash occurred on East State Road 445, just west of I-69.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the accident around 11:10 p.m. on Saturday.
Emergency responders, including medical, fire, and law enforcement teams, were quickly dispatched to the scene.
Initial investigations indicate that the motorcycle was heading east on East State Road 445 towards I-69 and lost control and veered off the road. The motorcycle eventually stopped near the southbound ramp of I-69.
Later it was announced that the 25 year old killed in the incident was Lawrence County, Indiana Sheriff’s Deputy Brenten Trueblood.
The accident happened while he was off duty.
Sheriff’s Departments throughout southwest Indiana have been making social media posts expressing their condolences.
This comes as area law enforcement continue to grieve and pay tribute to Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse who died last week after a battle with cancer.
Plasse’s funeral was today at the Hulman Center in Terre Haute.
