The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will hold a public information meeting regarding the proposed “Road Diet” for State Road 441. The meeting is scheduled for tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the Vincennes City Hall, located at 201 Vigo Street.

This project aims to improve traffic flow and enhance safety on State Road 441. Vincennes residents are already familiar with the concept of a Road Diet, following the recent construction on Hart Street from 15th Street to Veteran’s Drive. The changes on Hart Street included reducing the number of travel lanes, adding bike lanes, and improving pedestrian crossings.

Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more about the project and provide their input. INDOT representatives will be present to answer questions and discuss the benefits and potential impacts of the Road Diet.
