The Indiana Department of Transportation has given the green light to the first Tier 2 Study for the Mid-States Corridor Project.
This phase will focus on Dubois County to determine the highway’s alignment and access plan. The study will narrow down the specific location and right-of-way needs for a 200-to-500-foot-wide facility.
The Tier 1 Environmental Impact Statement outlined a 2,000-foot-wide corridor east of Huntingburg and Jasper. The current study will detail the segment from Interstate 64 around Huntingburg and Jasper to State Road 56 at Haysville. Expected to take three years, early work will include surveys and data analysis.
INDOT also announced that project office hours resume July 25th at Vincennes University’s Jasper campus.
The office will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 AM to 4 PM. For more details, visit https://midstatescorridor.com/
