Local police continue to investigate two separate shootings.

On Monday  around 5:35pm, Vincennes Police responded to a shooting at Autumn Ridge Lane and Emison St. A blue Mazda involved in the incident transported an adult male victim, who had been shot in the head, to Good Samaritan Hospital. The suspects fled in another vehicle, and one person of interest remains at large.

Then on Wednesday 12:35am, officers responded to another shooting at 1310 N 14th St. Calvin Wittmer allegedly shot a person at the location and fled. Wittmer was apprehended at 1603 Canbro St. without incident and arrested for Murder, a level 1 felony.

Involved agencies include the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office, Indiana State Police, Knox County Sheriff’s Department, and Vincennes University Police Department.

The investigations are ongoing.
