Various county and state road work is scheduled for this week.
In Knox County, an overlay of Tilley Road is scheduled to start today (Monday) from 159 west to the end of the pavement. It will include asphalt sealing and traffic flow will be affected although the road will not be completely closed.
Similar work is finishing up, continuing or starting on Appaloosa, Hazelwood and Hyde Park Drives.
Elsewhere in the region…lane closures are scheduled to take affect today on I69 in Pike County. Crews will begin passing lane closures on I-69 near Petersburg between the 41 mile marker and the 43 mile marker. Lane closures will allow for installation of crossovers in the median. The crossovers are being installed for use during future bridge work. The project is expected to last through the beginning of September, depending on the weather.
Also in Pike County, a portion of State Road 61 in Pike County is scheduled to close today for work on the bridge over the South Fork Patoka River just north of County Road 900 South. Work is expected to take one week to complete. The official detour around the construction is to use State Road 68 to State Road 57 to State Road 64.
In Gibson County, State Road 64 is slated to closed today in Princeton. That’s so INDOT contractors can make some sewer repairs int eh area between North Center Street and the nearby railroad tracks. The official detour is 41 to 168 to I69. Local traffic will have access to the point of closure.
