The 2024 edition of Oaken Days starts this evening with a special event.
The annual festival in the northern Knox County town of Oaktown kicks off at 6-pm with a dedication of the town’s new pavilion.
There will be food and drinks available.
Then at 7-pm there is live music with Pix & Stix from 7 to 10pm.
The evening also includes face painting and popcorn.
Saturday there is a pancake breakfast at 7am, a parade at 11-am and more live music from Noon to 2.
A lawn tractor pull is scheduled for 1-pm and then more live bands throughout the afternoon and evening with ice cream and a pork chop dinner in between.
Fireworks tops off Saturday night starting at 10.
Sunday features a church service and a picnic lunch.
Oaken Days is held in downtown Oaktown.
