Knox County election officials have graduated from the CEATS program.

County Clerk David Shelton, and County Election Deputy Rita Meredith participated in the 14 month long program offered by VSTOP which is the Voting System Technical Oversight Program at Ball State University.

CEATS stands for Certificate in Election Administration, Technology and Security and has a goal of educating current and future leaders in elections on the fundamental concepts, knowledge, and field techniques required of election administrators.

The program has received national recognition in helping to increase the integrity of elections.

So far, 54 people have graduated from the course which started in 2018.
