Vincennes University students showcased their advanced manufacturing skills at a recent competition.

The Project MFG Regional contest took place during the Spring semester at Texas A and M University.

VU students studying Precision Machining Technology and Welding Technology stood out among the competitors demonstrating what was described as an exceptional blend of ingenuity and teamwork.

Precision Machining and Advanced CNC Technology Program Coordinator Jonathan Vennard said is was proud of the students outstanding performance in the rigorous competition.

Participation in such contests related to their degree programs provides, VU students with special opportunities to apply their skills and knowledge in practical scenarios.

The students who competed said the experience helps them to learn how to show employers they are able to work in a team in a stressful situation.

The students representing VU included Connor Bean of Columbus, Kellen Bruns of Greensburg, Aaron John of La Porte and Riley Yochum of Vincennes.
