Today is National Nurses Day and this is National Nurses Week.

It’s held the same week every year ending on May 12th, Florence Nightingales birthday.

Here in Vincennes at Good Samaritan Hospital there are several activities planned to honor the nurses.

In a recent online broadcast of Good Samaritan Live, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Scott Stine said that when it comes to direct patient care, the nurses are the boots on the ground acting as eyes and ears and a safety mechanism with many patients and are one of the most important parts of the care delivered at the hospital and in the ambulatory world…
