More efforts are underway to get pets adopted in Greene County.

The Greene County Humane Society has once again partnered with the Bissell Pet Foundation to participate in the Empty The Shelter’s reduced fee adoption event.

The shelter is reducing dog adoption fees to only $50 and cat adoption fees to $0 for approved adopters now though May 15th.

The event applies to both animals at the shelter located at 1026 N 1375 W, Linton as well as their partner location that houses  adoptable cats, the cat lounge at The Cats Closet located at 223 S Pete Ellis Dr Suites 1 and 2, Bloomington, IN.

The Greene County Humane Society has participated in several of these events in the past.

They are open from 11AM-4PM Monday to Saturday and until 7PM on Fridays.

All adoptions require an approved application so applying in advance is recommended.
