The May Primary election  is two weeks from today.

The Knox County Republican Party will meet tonight while the Democratic Party meets this weekend.

The annual Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner is at Green Activities Center on the VU campus starting at 5:30pm this evening.

The special guests include Congressman and U-S Senate Candidate Jim Banks and Former US Secretary of State and Former CIA Director Mike Pompeo.

Contested local candidates will also be given a few minutes to speak after the keynote addresses.

Knox County Democrat leaders will host a Meet Your Candidate event to introduce Democratic Congressional and statewide candidates to local voters this Sunday.

That’s from 3 to 5 at the local Democratic Headquarters at 1010 Washington Avenue in Vincennes.

Appearing at that function will be Dr. Jennifer McCormick, who is running for Governor, Marc Carmichael and Dr. Valerie McCrary for US Senate as well as Erik Hurt, Ed Sein, and Michael Talarzyk for 8th District Congress.

Destiny Wells and Beth White, who are each seeking the party’s nomination for Indiana Attorney General, will have surrogates present to meet delegates.
