Five fire departments, including Harrison Township of Knox County, responded to a house fire Sunday afternoon north of Petersburg.

Fire officials told First City News that the call went out just after 4-pm concerning a fire at 1704 County Road 225 East just off of Highway 57 and near Anderson Chapel Church.

The home is owned by Steve Freeland and was rented by a family with several children.

No one was inside at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.

However, there were reports of pets inside the house at the time of the blaze.

No cause has been determined as of this posting.
